    Over 38 million people are living with HIV worldwide, the majority of them in sub-Saharan Africa. While there is no cure, a combination of drugs known as antiretrovirals (ARVs) enable people living with HIV to live longer and healthier lives if taken regularly. But not everyone around the world has access to treatment.

    In Central African Republic (CAR), many communities have extremely limited access to HIV/AIDS diagnosis and care, especially those in rural and conflict affected areas. Lifesaving ARVs are widely unavailable or unaffordable for people across the country. Patients must sometimes travel for days to reach a hospital or clinic, only to find them out of stock.
